Cameron Change Consultancy worked in conjunction with Relay Consultants to run two key change management workshops for HP Labs. These events enabled the HP Labs Global IT Management Team to take control of and to plan their strategy for managing anticipated changes. These events were 6 months apart and based first in Bristol, second in Palo Alto. We interviewed all participants before each event, and shaped up appropriate agendas together with the management team. Participants from Bristol and Palo Alto offices attended both workshops. The key issues addressed during the two off-site sessions were global working, performing the best possible value added work in a changing organisation, linking with other parts of HP and planning the Agilent split. The result was a broad brush action plan to which everyone had clearly contributed, and a commitment to revising the team's structure and processes.
